For those who share a passion for the beauty and ecological benefits of reclaimed wood, we've got a special treat in store. None other than Broadway and Hollywood legend Mandy Patinkin paid a visit to our Excelsior Wood Products facility. He was eager to learn about the process of upcycling wood from around the world and spent a day exploring our space, guided by none other than our founder, Ron Sauer.

Mandy learned about Excelsior after we supplied wood for his son’s home renovation. Intrigued by our business, Mandy expressed an interest in seeing where and how the magic happens. And of course, we were more than happy to welcome him to our home turf in Kingston and let him see firsthand how we breathe new life into discarded wood.

Ron shared a look behind the scenes with Mandy and our friends from Mernin & Co—highlighting the unique process of manufacturing wood. Mandy even got to see one of the hardest and most durable woods in the world during his visit, Angelique, which was once used to build naval ships. Ron surprised Mandy with custom wood with laser-engraved images of his family. And don’t worry, no one was hurt during the making of this video!
