Excelsior Wood partnered with Blue Duck Brewing Company in Kingston, NY to bring a deeply personal vision to life through custom-crafted woodwork that anchors the heart of the brewery. From the bar to the community tables and benches, each piece was thoughtfully designed to feel authentic, welcoming, and built to last.

The centerpiece of the space begins with a remarkable story: a massive red oak tree sourced from the owner’s family property, carefully milled and finished locally. That single tree became the foundation for wide-plank community tables and a striking bar, transforming raw material into functional art. The warm tones, natural grain, and substantial scale of the wood create a sense of connection between people, place, and craft.

With minimal hand-holding and a shared trust in expertise, the vision evolved seamlessly from concept to completion. The result is a brewery interior defined by integrity, craftsmanship, and character, where the woodwork doesn’t just furnish the space, it tells its story.
