Western Red Cedar (WRC) is an excellent choice for exterior uses, such as siding and decking. WRC is lightweight, easy to work with, and is naturally resistant to moisture, decay, and insect damage. This specie has a beautiful warm grain and the ability to take a variety of coatings (stains, primers, and topcoats).
Channel Rustic profile comes with a rough face and a gap reveal between where the boards overlap. Run using Select Knotty Grade, this material has great character and gives beautiful texture to your home.
Channel Rustic siding (much like other siding profiles) is durable, versatile, and easier to work with than other commonly used siding options. With the ability to be installed both vertically and horizontally, shiplap meets the criteria for multiple different design looks. Compared to aluminum and vinyl, shiplap wooden siding is relatively easy to install, as well as to repair. In addition, shiplap profiles produce a tight seal, resulting in superior protection against moisture and wind-related damages.
Sizes are nominal (see diagram for actual face sizes). Boards are Kiln Dried and milled S1S2E (surfaced one side, two edges, one rough face).
