Western Red Cedar is an excellent choice for exterior uses, such as siding and decking. Western Red Cedar is lightweight, easy to work with, and is naturally resistant to moisture, decay, and insect damage. This species has a beautiful warm grain and the ability to take a variety of coatings well (stains, primers, and paints).
Channel Rustic profile comes with a rough face and a hearty 1-1/4″ reveal. This creates a dramatic shadow line between the boards. The knotty grade has great character and as the name suggests, adds a rustic flavor to your project.
Channel Rustic shiplap siding is durable and easy to work with. With the ability to be installed both vertically and horizontally, it is versatile. Compared to aluminum and vinyl, shiplap siding is relatively easy to install, as well as to repair. In addition, shiplap profiles produce a tight seal, resulting in good protection.
Sizes are nominal (see diagram for actual face sizes). Boards are Kiln Dried and milled S1S2E (surfaced one side, two edges, one rough face).
